Geography

Altea is situated on a bay close to the Punta del Albir and the Morro de Toix. Crosses the N-332 and the AP-7.

The township is bordered by Alfaz del Pi, Benisa, Calpe, Callosa de Ensarriá, Jalón and La Nucia.

In the municipality there is also a town called Altea la Vieja, in the foothills of the Sierra Bernia.
