Geography
Altea is situated on a bay close to the Punta del Albir and the Morro de Toix.
Crosses the N-332 and the AP-7.
The township is bordered by Alfaz del Pi, Benisa, Calpe,
Callosa de Ensarriá, Jalón and La Nucia.
In the municipality there is also a town called Altea la Vieja, in the
foothills of the Sierra Bernia.
In 1705 he landed in
the bay of Altea, the Anglo-Dutch squadron supported the Archduke Charles of
Austria, led by General Valencia Baptista Basset, in the context of the War of
