Festivals and Celebrations
Benidorm is a city where the festivities take on a special prominence. The
Major Festivals Patron, in honor of the Virgen del Suffrage and Jaime Apostle
San starting the day before the second Sunday of November and end on Wednesday
next, 5 days in which the people of Benidorm pay tribute to its patron, the
young and not so young sisters in the rocks makes this festive holiday the most
important of all those held in Benidorm.
There are a number of
clubs, all controlled by the Asociacion de Penas "Virgin of the
Suffrage." The clubs come together to spend the holidays together in their
local friends and participate in offerings, processions and more events being
organized by the Committee on Major Festivals Patron. Tradition makes the rocks

festivals, held in Benidorm many more festivities throughout the year, which is
a major attraction for those visiting this Mediterranean city. Fallas are held
in March, Bonfires of San Juan in June and in October, Moors and Christians. It
also has associations or clubs Cavalos holiday calls to celebrate other
holidays such as the Dew, San Antonio, San Isidro, El Carmen, the feast of
Castilla la Mancha, Asturias ...
One of the events that gave fame to Benidorm is the annual celebration since 1954, the International Song Festival of Benidorm, but the festival has fallen into decline and has received plenty of criticism for its constant changes (in the year 2005 was held in a closed block) and its continuity is more than doubtful (not held since 2006).
