The city has three
shopping malls: Centro Comercial Eroski Orihuela, Centro Comercial Centro

area of Campoamor, called Centro Comercial Las Playas.
Orihuela also has many
public services that employ people such as the delegation of many public organizations
like the Inland Revenue, Treasury of Social Security, the Institute of Social
Security, the Courts, the Delegation of the Department of Agriculture, the
Youth Institute of the Department of Social Welfare, and the Chamber of Commerce
and Industry of Orihuela, which also has sites in the Playas de Orihuela. Being
the capital of the region provides services to other populations in the region.

In the past there was
also the Savings Virgin of Montserrat, founded in 1906, but it merged with the
Savings Bank of Pretel (which contributed 50 offices, bringing the Orihuela
