Some of its beaches get the blue flags for clean seas of Europe every year or the flag Qualitur, granted by the Ministry of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana. Some of these are: Barranco Rubio, Cala Capitan, Playa de Cabo Roig (Caleta Beach), Playa de Campoamor (Aquamarine), Campoamor Beach (La Glea), Playa Flamenca (Cala Estaca), Playa Flamenca (Cala Mosca), and Playa de las Mil Palmeras.

Three of the beaches also won the Q for Tourist Quality, becoming the first to succeed in Valencia. The winning beaches are Cala Capitan, Playa de la Glea, and the beach of Cala Estaca.

Tourism represents an important sector for the town. At present there are two types: sun and beach tourism and cultural tourism. There is a slowly growing interest in rural tourism, which provides both private and public infrastructure.

Orihuela has a number of festivals that receive significant numbers of tourists, especially Holy Week, declared a National Tourist Interest in 1989, and it opened the record to be declared an International Tourist Interest.

The town is complete with three four-star hotels and a number of three and two stars on the coast and in the city. Similarly, there are motel establishments both in the city and along the coast and in some parishes such as Arneva Los Huertos (both are very close to the city).

Camino del Cid. Orihuela is attached to the path of the Consortium Cid. This is the city where the Camino del Cid route ends and the Cid Vivar (Burgos) begins, in the birthplace of the Campeador. The city has an important environmental and cultural destination.

In turn the Town Hall of Orihuela has designed several tourist routes so visitors can learn the heritage of the city, including the route of the Gothic, the path of Miguel Hernandez, Francisco Salzillo path, the path of national monuments, Cultural Tour Orihuela, etc.
