Floating Museum.

Museo del Mar y de la Sal. This museum contains a range of thematic objects and images that represent a very significant cultural attraction.

Museo Ricardo Lafuente. Dedicated to Master Ricardo Lafuente Aguado, director of the choir and orchestra Salinas de Torrevieja and creator of numerous Havanans.

Municipal Auditorium Theater. Opened on June 28, 2006 and has a main hall with a capacity for 650 spectators. The scene covers an area about 400 m2 and is equipped with the most modern stage.

Museo de la Semana Santa Thomas Valcarcel. Its interior can be seen throughout the year except Easter itself; all the assets of the processions of passion, pictures, thrones, banners, exhibitions of sculpture, paintings, and other objects are located here.

Exhibition Hall Vistalegre.

Eras de la Sal. A fine example of industrial architecture of the 18th century that functioned as a store and wharf for salt from 1777 until 1958. In one of their yards, the International Habaneras is held every year.

Culture

The field of music includes the group Havana, with Ricardo Lafuente Aguado, one of the most renowned authors. Among his works is “Torrevieja,” better known by its first stanza: “It is a mirror Torrevieja…”

Francisco Vallejos Choir is a choir of the city founded in 1954.

There is also Musical Torrevieja, with over one hundred years of history. It is the newly established chamber orchestra of the Musical and Cultural Association Ars Ætheria.

Held annually since 1955, the International Habaneras and Polyphony of Torrevieja was declared of International Tourist Interest.

Paseo del Dique de Levante. Opened on December 7, 2000. The entire length of the dike has been built on an elevated walkway, with wooden floors that allow a long walk between two stools.

Park of Nations. It has a lake whose profile corresponds to the map of Europe and has several attractions for children.

Paseo Juan Aparicio. Along the walk are several swimming pools and artificial beaches. The walkway runs from the Dique de Levante Playa del Cura up to the edge of the coast. It is formerly known as the Paseo de las Rocas and was remodeled in 1999.

Water Mill Park. Declared by the Generalitat Valenciana as a natural city 500,000 square feet up the last of the dune systems south of Valencia.

 

 

 

 

Parallel to this great contest, the Encuentro Coral Internacional “Ciudad de Torrevieja” was created in 1987. It is a noncompetitive group organized by the Coral Vallejos Francisco and sponsored by the Hon. Town Hall of Torrevieja.

The Novel Prize City of Torrevieja is also very important, which has already taken six editions, the second after the Planeta Prize largest economy for the winner, some €360,000.

Church of the Immaculate Conception. Built in 1789 and rebuilt in 1844 by taking advantage of the old stone tower that gave its name to the village. There are neoclassical houses with various works of art.

Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Known to Torrevieja and La Ermita. In 2007 it was demolished in order to raise a new church and is now the most modern building in the old chapel.

Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, in the Mata. Built in 1896.

Casino. Modernist building built in 1896.

Mirador de la Torre del Moro. With a peculiar structure, it was once a lookout tower

for the Guarnecian coast.

Lagunas de la Mata and Torrevieja. The Natural Park of the Lagunas de la Mata and Torrevieja are landscapes familiar to Salinas, one of the most important wetland areas of Valencia, and one of the most important saline holdings in Europe.

Palace of Music. A municipal conservatory that holds an audience and, in addition to frequent recitals, serves as a venue for other events.

Palm Creek and Lo Ferris. A creek site still free of urbanization located south of the municipal.
